The course was captivating, equipping me for the construction management sector. My brief professional stint after my bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering highlighted the gap between industry expectations and education, intensifying my urgency to upskill. Joining InCoBAN's Bootcamp impressed me with its depth of content, thought-provoking assignments, and virtual project simulations. It provided the perfect jumpstart for my career.
The Project Lifecycle Management program provided a superb experience, offering real-time project situations and facilitating highly interactive sessions. The sessions were valuable to me, fostering meaningful engagements.
The camp is designed for core engineering graduates from final year and young professionals with less than 5 years of work experience. However, anyone passionate and interested to build a career in infrastructure & construction projects can also attend.
No, Infrastructure and construction program management is multi-disciplinary. Candidates with master’s specialized in Project Management, Construction Management and in any of the above disciplines can also enroll.
Project Simulator training is similar to a “flight simulator” that artificially re-creates aircraft flight and the environment in which it flies, for pilot training, design, or other purposes. The project simulator replicates how projects are planned (pre-construction phase not included as of now) and executed, the sequence of execution and interfaces, the challenges in a construction projects, changes, contractual issues, field execution, coordination, testing & commissioning, handling etc. Project simulation will give a “real-time kind of experience” of a project, which otherwise takes 2-3 years for a fresher to go through the entire project lifecycle.
The candidates will be building a highrise project in 40 days. They will undergo a complete Project Execution Cycle and experience the rigour of a project in a short period. The program will be very intensive, with individual and group assignments, role plays, discussions etc.

Modern buildings are “Services” centric, not just civil construction. Engineers and non-engineers from various disciplines like mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and IT are involved in construction projects. Moreover, buildings are easy to relate to for any beginner including non-engineers as they interact with them daily. This course is strongly recommended for professional engineers choosing construction as a career shall prepared to undergo a project lifecycle experience in a short span. Even professionals with non-engineering backgrounds, aspiring or having a career in projects, can attend the bootcamp.
Understanding all aspects of the project lifecycle is important to have a successful career in projects. InCoBAN believes in preparing “ true project professionals” with a complete overview to grow and have successful careers in the field of project management. The professionals will eventually end up in a “specific job role”, however, a 360-degree understanding of projects will help them in performing their role better. Moreover, planning a career in preparing bar bending schedules, quantity estimation, billing etc doesn’t require a degree in engineering. Moreover, these jobs are codifiable and are being replaced in a rapidly digitizing world. Such narrow skills will limit a person to explore their potential and hamper the growth of the individual after some time.
The course design and pedagogy interwinds the socio-behaviour skills and communication. The exercises and group activities are structured in such a way that the participant imbibes those skills automatically. Separate lectures on these aspects are avoided in the course design itself, as it won’t be effective for learning retention. There will be constant monitoring of the soft skills of participants during the course, feedback shall be given.
Bootcamp will be very intensive. It has mostly, classroom sessions and activities. The candidates should be prepared to spend long hours without any holiday in between and complete some assignments/exercises overnight. Bootcamp is structured to give a construction project site-like experience, which could be very demanding at times.
